HIBAPRESS – Muhammad Zariouh
As part of the proactive preparations for the summer season of 2026, the regional authority of the Nador region began, on May 2nd and 3rd, a series of intensive field visits to various beaches in the region. This step aims to assess the field readiness of these spaces to receive visitors during the upcoming summer, and to directly assess their general condition and management mechanisms to ensure the comfort and safety of vacationers.
This inspection tour included vital beaches, including Arkman, Sidi El Bachir, Ras El Maa, the artificial beach on the Nador Corniche, Bougana, and the beaches of Bni Chiker, to be concluded by examining the beaches of the Izaanan commune. This field inspection enabled an accurate diagnosis of the current situation of these coastal sites, identifying urgent priorities and constraints, in preparation for taking measures to improve the quality of reception and develop the services provided. The efforts of the regional committee during these visits focused on strategic axes including infrastructure, foremost among them improving accessibility and routes, enhancing public lighting, and intensifying cleaning operations. The importance of providing public safety and health conditions, supporting road signs at entrances, and strengthening guarding and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the tranquility of visitors and provide a safe summer atmosphere was also emphasized. In addition to the logistical aspects, the directives included the preparation of vital facilities such as public toilets and car parks to avoid traffic congestion, in addition to approving the launch of parallel awareness and educational programs and activities. These activities aim to enhance environmental awareness among vacationers and urge them to actively participate in efforts to preserve coastal ecosystems and protect the beauty of beaches from pollution. This continuous dynamic falls within the context of the Nador regional authority's keenness to upgrade the management of the region's waterfront and enhance its tourism attractiveness as a leading destination. This practical plan seeks to provide organized and sustainable coastal spaces that meet the expectations of residents and tourists, ensuring the success of the 2026 summer season and transforming it into a lever for local development.
