HIBAPRESS – Rabat
US Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, commented sarcastically on Algeria's efforts to establish the world's largest dairy factory after purchasing 30,000 cows.
Landau said in a tweet posted on his "Twitter" account that during his visit to Algeria last week, he highlighted "the potential to deepen commercial and economic ties between our two countries, especially in the energy and agricultural sectors." He added in his comment, which he attached with a video clip from a cartoon, that among the interesting projects is the one led by "Baladna", a Qatari company working on building the world's largest integrated dairy facility in the Algerian desert. "In the context of this project, the company is committed to" buying 30,000 American cows from 9 states, "he concluded: "I can't even imagine how the transport trips of all those cows from the United States to Algeria will be! A great project for both countries."
