HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Merchants of the "Laferray" market in Salmia, Casablanca, have requested an extension of the deadline given to them by local authorities to evacuate their shops, as the deadline approaches in preparation for the expected demolition.
A number of professionals confirmed that the current period is insufficient to move goods and waste and to find suitable alternatives for their activities, especially considering the volume of equipment and parts they possess, which require complex logistical arrangements. The merchants called for postponing the evacuation date until after the summer holidays, so that they can manage their professional situations better, and avoid significant financial losses, pending the outcome of these demands from the concerned parties.
