In a well-executed security operation carried out by the judicial police of Oulad Teima security services in coordination with elements of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), on Friday, May 8th, a significant quantity of hashish was seized, totaling approximately 45 kilograms, and two individuals suspected of involvement in a drug trafficking network between several regions were arrested.
According to consistent data, the operation began after a precise monitoring operation of a suspect's movements who was using a light vehicle, moving between the regions of Ait Iazza, east of Taroudant, and Oulad Teima, west of the province, where the tracking operation resulted in his arrest in the act, with a quantity of drugs hidden inside the car's trunk.
During the initial investigation phase, the detainee revealed the existence of a partner in the operation, which prompted the security elements to identify his location in an isolated area, where he was also arrested in a successful second security intervention.
Continuing the field investigations, the security elements moved to the Kasba area, where an additional quantity estimated at about 35 kilograms of hashish, which was prepared for trafficking, was seized, bringing the total seizures to about 45 kilograms.
The detainees have been placed in custody, under the supervision of the judicial investigation overseen by the competent Public Prosecution, in order to identify the remaining potential extensions of this network and its connections.
