Away from everything that is said here and there about this hot file and the real reasons behind preventing the entry of shipments into the national territory, our well-informed sources from the port of Nador confirmed that they lack a tax declaration that the concerned importers deliberately disclaimed despite their knowledge of its legality. In the same context, an inspection committee from the General Administration of Customs arrived about a week ago at the port of Nador in order to investigate this file and arrange for punitive and tax penalties regarding it, and with retroactive effects if it is confirmed that similar shipments passed earlier in the same way, which is something that misses important customs revenues for the benefit of the state. Meanwhile, the General Administration of Customs, in coordination with various regional authorities, is tightening control over imported goods and merchandise through a special digital system that allows access to the details of the particles, in addition to cameras installed in all sensitive sites in order to create the customs facility and put a finger on the locations of errors and shortcomings if they are actually found. This indicates that the leaks coming from those affiliated with the Customs Administration that a General Director of Customs will be appointed during this week to succeed Mr. "Abdelatif El Omrani", who currently holds the position of Acting General Treasurer of the Kingdom after four years of giving and reform that the man spent in crystallizing a new vision for the customs apparatus, thus paving the way for his successor to complete the reform workshop and create the facility in general.
