Elements of the Urban Brigade of the Judicial Police in the Fifth Security District of the Medina have succeeded in arresting the perpetrator of a series of thefts targeting numerous restaurants and shops in the old square of the old city.
The detainee had previously stolen a significant amount of money from a restaurant in the old square, estimated at 60,000 dirhams. Security elements relied on surveillance camera recordings to identify them. After a thorough investigation by the police elements, the identity of the perpetrator of several thefts from within the restaurants was determined, and he was arrested. He was taken to the service headquarters to deepen the investigation and placed under custody before being brought before the competent Public Prosecution.
