In an atmosphere characterized by the spirit of patriotism, adherence to principles, and a keenness to defend the nation against the ambitions of the greedy, the provincial security family in Sattat renewed their pledge this Saturday morning on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the General Directorate of National Security. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Sattat security directorate, in the presence of the governor of Sattat province, the security governor of Sattat, his deputy, the head of the security zone, and senior civil and military figures from the province, members of the municipal council, community and media figures.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the governor of the province reviewed a formation of security guards belonging to the Sattat security zone, followed by the rituals of saluting the national flag, and a speech by the security governor, who emphasized that the founding of national security, which is an important event, came to confirm Morocco's firm desire to exercise its independence through national institutions representing its restored sovereignty, and to enable its people to participate in the battle of the greater jihad, which is represented in achieving the economic and social development of the country. Celebrating the anniversary of the founding of national security also represents a station to review the developments and achievements made by the security institution, and to learn about the accumulations of continuous modernization that it has engaged in in recent years, as well as reviewing the service aspect of security work, and the development of some security concepts such as good security governance, community policing, and the joint production of security.
The security governor added in his speech that the Sattat security directorate has adopted a proactive approach that relies on the participatory dimension in consolidating the security dimension and embodying the policy of proximity and openness to the environment and consolidating bridges of mutual trust between the police facility and the beneficiary, and the transition from the concept of security from the logic of intervention to the logic of public service with the aim of building trust between the citizen and its security institution.
He pointed out that this approach is based on the values of integrity and transparency through strengthening institutional communication mechanisms and openness to all civil society activities and consolidating the concept of joint production of security.
The security governor added that, in this context, the Sattat security directorate has taken the initiative to strengthen the infrastructure by establishing new security headquarters that have contributed to rapid access to security services, as a new second-shift headquarters was opened, and a second headquarters for traffic accidents was opened, in addition to future projects such as bringing a sixth security district headquarters into existence in the city of Sattat, and then completing the administrative procedures for building a police commissioner's headquarters in the city of Ibn Ahmed, as well as in the Al-Darwa area in the province of Berrechid.
The security governor also announced the establishment of the Cynotechnic Police Unit specialized in detecting explosives, drugs, banknotes, blood and corpses, with the help of trained dogs supervised by specialized security cadres who have undergone intensive training in this regard, where the security elements presented relevant demonstrations that simulate the phenomenon in front of the audience, which won everyone's admiration.
The security governor called for the continuation of performing its duty with the same self-sacrificing spirit, discipline, mobilization, high vigilance, and full commitment to the rule of law and the firm adherence to the kingdom's sanctities and constants, in order to build a secure Morocco and preserve the dignity of the citizen under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI, may God protect him.
