Judicial police in Al Hoceima, in coordination with the National Brigade of Judicial Police, on Saturday, arrested an individual suspected of being linked to a criminal network, for his alleged involvement in a case related to the armed confrontation that occurred in the city of Imzouren and resulted in the death of a security officer.
The apprehension of the individual, nicknamed "El Circo," followed intensive field investigations and research initiated by security services, which led to the determination of his whereabouts and his arrest in one of Al Hoceima's neighborhoods.
According to available data, the arrest operation involved a number of security personnel and utilized a "drone" aircraft, as part of research aimed at identifying the hiding places of those suspected of being linked to this case.
Initial data related to the case indicates that the detainee, born in 1992 and from the commune of Atroukout in the Driouch province, was active in the region before moving to the city of Al Hoceima, where he rented a house in one of the city's neighborhoods to evade detection.
According to disseminated information about the case, the suspect faces serious charges related to human trafficking by exploiting minors to commit criminal acts, and luring a minor under eighteen through deceit and inciting them to commit criminal acts using violence or coercion.
The acts attributed to him, according to the same data, also include the illegal possession and trafficking of hard drugs and facilitating their use, as well as intentionally providing assistance to members of a criminal gang.
This arrest comes within the context of ongoing security investigations aimed at dismantling the alleged network, identifying all its ramifications, and uncovering the identities of other individuals potentially linked to this case, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
Investigations and inquiries are expected to continue to determine all the circumstances surrounding the case, pending the outcomes of the investigation and research procedures and the decisions of the competent judicial authorities.
