HIBAPRESS
In an unprecedented communication step in the Moroccan political scene, the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, chose to present his government's work report via a video that includes 5 axes in 25 minutes, carrying a modern visual signature and a direct language aimed primarily at social media users, in an attempt to reshape the relationship between the political actor and the citizen within the digital space, especially the youth.
The video, which Akhannouch posted on his personal account and official government platforms last Monday evening, did not come in a traditional political format based on lengthy speeches or official statements, but rather adopted a style closer to an "interactive video" that relies on a fast pace, concise images, and focused messages. This was considered by observers as an indication of the government's communication entering a new way that bets on simplification, speed, and the ability to reach wide segments, especially the youth. It seems that the Head of Government seeks through this method to present the government's report in a way that is closer to the interests of Moroccans, by utilizing modern digital communication tools that are increasingly controlling the formation of public debate and the making of public opinion. This trend also reflects a growing awareness within the government institution of the need to keep pace with the transformations in the media field, where social platforms are no longer just a space for interaction, but have turned into a main arena for political influence and institutional communication.
