HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Zeriouh
The meeting hall of the Nador Province witnessed on Monday, May 18, 2026, an extensive communication meeting chaired by the governor of the province, in commemoration of the twenty-first anniversary of the launch of the National Initiative for Human Development. This important annual event came under the slogan "The National Initiative for Human Development: 21 Years in the Service of Integration and the Fight against Vulnerability," constituting a prominent constitutional and territorial stage for evaluating social gains and anticipating promising future projects throughout the region.
This meeting was distinguished by a significant and intensive presence that embodies the participatory and convergence approach upon which the initiative was founded, with members of the Regional Committee for Human Development, local authorities, elected officials, and heads of local councils participating in the work. The event also witnessed the active presence of heads of external services and representatives of national cooperation, in addition to the remarkable involvement of civil society and the local media system that is keeping pace with the developmental boom in the region. In the context of the field implementation of the developmental philosophy, the meeting's work was marked by the signing of three new strategic partnership agreements aimed at improving the health and educational services in the province; the first agreement concerned the establishment and equipping of modern delivery rooms in health centers, while the second focused on establishing a center for social and health support for people with mental disabilities, while the third agreement was allocated to the expansion and development of the infrastructures of the "Nur al-Fath" Center for Education and Training. Extending the efforts to combat vulnerability and bring basic services closer to the population, the ceremony included the handover of the keys to three mobile medical units and a fully equipped ambulance for transporting patients. These advanced logistical reinforcements aim to provide direct support and maintain the health of mothers and children in the rural areas of the province, as well as facilitate access for people with kidney failure to treatment services and alleviate their suffering with mobility. On the field level, the governor of Nador province and his accompanying delegation moved to the commune of Selwan, where he supervised the inauguration of a new nursing and health professions training school to provide the medical system with qualified personnel. This was followed by an inspection visit to the social center for people with disabilities in the city of Zayou, during which the officials followed the progress of work at this vital facility and closely examined the level of care and services provided to the beneficiaries. At the conclusion of this communication meeting, a telegram of loyalty and sincerity was sent to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, expressing deep gratitude for the high royal directives. This integrated package of projects and field inaugurations comes to strongly reflect the continuity and cohesion of the accelerated developmental and social dynamics that the Nador region is experiencing, consolidating the concept of spatial and social justice.
