HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
Dr. Ahmed Bouabdallah, a heart and vascular specialist in Oujda, warned against the serious health consequences resulting from following the so-called "Goodness System," emphasizing that responding to unreliable medical information published on social media platforms has led to the registration of urgent and critical health cases, especially among those with chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
Dr. Bouabdallah explained, in a statement to HIBAPRESS, that this controversial diet has had a significant negative impact on circles that have caused victims to enter emergency departments as a result of acute complications. The specialist revealed that official medical bodies, led by the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, had previously intervened strictly to stop the owner of this system from practicing medicine and closing his clinic, due to his deviation from scientific and ethical controls and the proven lack of his responsibility. The speaker stressed that any diet or means of treatment must be subject to strict scientific standards and accurate research methods before being adopted, pointing out that the real medical references are issued by recognized international institutions and bodies, such as the "European Society of Cardiology", which includes hundreds of experts and relies only on clinical studies published in scientific journals subject to auditing and review. Dr. Bouabdallah added, "There is no unified diet that is suitable for all people. The diabetic patient has his own system, and the patient with cholesterol or high blood pressure or obesity each has a specific protocol that takes into account his health condition, habits, and physical structure." Dr. Bouabdallah criticized following "miracle treatments" and herbs that claim complete healing from diabetes or high blood pressure, describing them as deception that threatens the safety of simple citizens. He pointed out that the greatest danger was manifested in directing this system to patients to completely stop taking their vital medications and replace them with the suggested nutrition, which resulted in serious complications such as entering a diabetic coma, or blockage of the heart arteries, which are cases that may lead to death directly. In conclusion of his statement, the specialist confirmed that there is no conflict between medicine and natural treatments or diets, but rather doctors are the first to advise regulating the diet, losing weight, exercising, and refraining from smoking as initial steps for treatment. He explained that the medical drugs themselves are often extracted from natural sources and herbs, but they go through precise pharmaceutical paths to determine safe doses, and know the side effects and contraindications, calling on citizens to exercise extreme caution and consult specialists before adopting any dietary behavior that affects their physical safety.
