As part of the commemoration of the twenty-first anniversary of the launch of the National Human Development Initiative, the commune of Ait Ishaq witnessed, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, the inauguration of a multifunctional center for women in vulnerable situations, in a step that aims to enhance the social and economic integration of women and strengthen support and accompaniment mechanisms for vulnerable groups in the rural world.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mohamed Adel Ahoran, in the presence of a number of elected officials and heads of military and security services, in addition to representatives of external services and civil society فعاليات. The various facilities of this social project, which falls within the programs aimed at improving the conditions of women and empowering them economically and socially, were reviewed. This center aims to provide an integrated space for training, formation, and psychological and social accompaniment, through the establishment of rooms and professional workshops that meet the needs of beneficiaries and the requirements of the local labor market, which contributes to creating new opportunities for integration and achieving economic independence for women in vulnerable situations. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 3 million dirhams, as it includes a space for listening and guidance, in addition to specialized workshops in the fields of weaving, tailoring, sewing, cooking, and hairdressing, which are specializations that will develop the professional skills of the beneficiaries and open new horizons for them to integrate into the local economic fabric. It is expected that about 80 women from the Ait Ishaq commune and the surrounding areas will benefit from the center's services, through training and mentoring programs aimed at enhancing professional and personal competencies, and encouraging women to enter the labor market or launch small income-generating projects. This social project reflects the commitment of the National Human Development Initiative to continue supporting vulnerable groups and adopting an integrated participatory approach, based on consolidating the values of solidarity, social justice, and sustainable development, through projects that have a direct impact on improving the living conditions of citizens, especially women in the rural world.
