In view of precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, on Wednesday afternoon, the police of the Province of Security of Tangier were able to seize 41,120 hallucinogenic tablets, during a security operation that resulted in the arrest of four people, aged 36 and 62, suspected of being linked to a criminal network. He is active in the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
A report from the General Directorate of National Security indicates that the dismantling of this criminal network comes in the context of the deepening of the investigation into a person who was arrested last Saturday in the city of Salé, immediately after his arrival on a train from the city of Tangier, and who was in possession of 9,983 hallucinogenic tablets of different types.
The same source added that the ongoing research and investigations in this case have made it possible to identify four shareholders and participants suspected of being linked to this criminal activity, who were arrested during simultaneous security operations in a group of districts of the city of Tangier.
The report continues that the seizures and inspections carried out at the homes of the suspects arrested in the city of Tangier resulted in the discovery in their possession of large shipments of psychotropic substances amounting to 41,120 narcotic tablets, including 3,000 hallucinogenic tablets of “Ecstasy” and 38,120 narcotic tablets of the “Rivotril” and Trankimazine type, in addition to a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of this criminal activity.
All suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to reveal all the circumstances and circumstances of this case, as well as to identify the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity.
