The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Tuesday the completion of the ascension process of all pilgrims to the Arafat area, as part of the operational plans for the Hajj season, ensuring smooth movement and the safety of pilgrims.
The ministry confirmed in a statement that "the grouping operations were implemented according to the approved schedules, and under the field supervision of the competent authorities, which contributed to organizing the pilgrims' transition to the Arafat plain to perform the greatest pillar of the Hajj rituals." Pilgrims began, with the dawn of the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, to arrive at the Arafat plain, to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj, amidst an atmosphere of faith, filled with reverence and tranquility, filled with Talbiyah (the call to prayer) and supplication for forgiveness, mercy, and freedom from the Fire. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ascension to Arafat witnessed precise organization and intense security supervision from various sectors, as security men were deployed on the roads and pilgrim paths to organize the movement of crowds and ensure their flow, according to the approved plans for grouping and managing movement between the holy sites. Comprehensive medical, ambulance, and supply services were also provided throughout the area, as part of an integrated system aimed at serving pilgrims and meeting their needs during the performance of rituals, amidst high readiness from the concerned government agencies.
