HIBAPRESS
The first group of Moroccan pilgrims left the homeland today, Monday, heading to the Holy Lands to perform the Hajj rituals for the 1447 AH season, in a distinguished organizational atmosphere and in the presence of the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Rabat, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh.
The launch of this group comes within the framework of the annual preparations supervised by various concerned parties to ensure a comfortable and safe journey for Moroccan pilgrims, where a set of organizational and health measures have been taken to facilitate this spiritual journey. In this context, the Saudi ambassador highlighted the importance of the Mecca Route initiative, which aims to facilitate the pilgrims' journey from their departure from Morocco until their arrival in the Holy Lands, noting that it falls within the efforts to improve the experience of the guests of Rahman. He explained that this initiative enables pilgrims to complete all travel procedures, including passport control and verification of health conditions, inside the departure airports, which contributes to reducing the waiting time upon arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The initiative also allows the direct transfer of luggage to the pilgrims' residences in Mecca and Medina, in addition to providing special services, especially for the elderly, ensuring a more comfortable and smooth journey.
