The Mohammed V Mental Hospital in Al Hoceima witnessed a tragic incident after a patient undergoing treatment at the institution took his own life by hanging, under circumstances that left shock and sadness among the staff and patients.
According to the preliminary available data, the deceased was found dead inside the hospital facilities, where the competent authorities were notified and moved to the scene to open an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to uncover the circumstances of this painful incident. The body of the deceased was also transferred to the morgue of the regional hospital in order to subject it to a medical examination to determine the precise causes of death, while the investigations and listening to the various concerned parties continue.
