The company "Arma", in charge of managing the sanitation sector in the city of Casablanca, has adopted an exceptional and integrated plan for managing household waste and Eid al-Adha waste. This plan is based on three main stages extending before, during, and after Eid day, with the aim of ensuring rapid and effective intervention and maintaining the city's cleanliness during a period of great pressure on collection services.
The first phase of this plan began the day before Eid, through a large-scale mobilization that included about 4,000 workers and 200 trucks dedicated to collecting waste in various neighborhoods of the economic capital, within the framework of a proactive plan aimed at avoiding the accumulation of garbage during the peak of activity associated with this occasion. During this phase, central collection points were adopted to which the waste is initially transported, before the trucks take over the process of emptying them towards temporary stations, from which they are directed to the landfill in Mediouna, within an organized logistical path aimed at accelerating the pace of collection and processing large quantities of waste. As for Eid day, an intensive field plan was activated that included manual and mechanical sweeping, in addition to street washing operations using specialized mechanisms, with a special focus on removing slaughter waste and organic waste associated with Eid al-Adha, given its specificity and the odors and environmental effects it may cause. The company confirmed that these operations are carried out in record time, as work is being done to empty the various neighborhoods before approximately midnight, while continuing the intervention during the following day to complete the work and ensure the stability of cleanliness levels. In this context, Al-Mahdi Deraa, the operations manager at the "Arma" company, explained in a statement to HIBAPRESS, that the whole process took place within the framework of tight coordination with local authorities and governorate services, through prior meetings and joint field mobilization, stressing that the main goal is to ensure smooth and effective management of this exceptional circumstance, which is experiencing great pressure on sanitation services. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN5VZb52cF0
