The Al-Massira neighborhood in the city of Berkane witnessed, on the morning of the second day of Eid al-Adha al-Mubarak, a tragic incident following the discovery of the body of a retired professor, about 60 years old, deceased inside his home under mysterious circumstances that suggest the hypothesis of suicide.
According to local sources, family members found the deceased lifeless, hanging by a rope in the staircase of the house, which prompted them to immediately notify the competent authorities. Upon learning of the incident, elements of the judicial and scientific police, accompanied by representatives of the local authority and civil defense personnel, arrived at the scene, and the security services began the procedures for a thorough inspection of the scene of the accident, to collect evidence and clues useful in the investigation.
