HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The cities of Agadir and Inezgan Ait Melloul witnessed, yesterday, Thursday, May 28, the occurrence of two separate murders that claimed the lives of two young men in their twenties, in events that left a state of wide security alert and investigations were opened regarding them under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
The details of the first crime go back to the Al-Batawar neighborhood in the city of Agadir, where a dispute broke out between two young men that quickly developed into an assault with a white weapon, resulting in serious stabbings of the victim near the Senegal mosque, and he was quickly transferred to the university hospital, but he passed away as a result of his injuries. As for the second crime, it occurred in the Azrou neighborhood in the city of Inezgan Ait Melloul, following a fight between a group of young men, which ended with a young man being subjected to fatal stabbings that claimed his life immediately. Preliminary data indicates that the consumption of narcotic substances of the "Karkoubi" type may be a common factor behind the explosion of these assaults, which has become a cause for increasing concern among the residents. The security services were able to arrest those suspected of being involved in the two incidents, where they were subjected to the necessary investigations, pending their presentation to the judiciary by the Agadir Criminal Court.
