The State of Amrakesh opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office yesterday afternoon, Thursday, with the aim of determining the circumstances, circumstances and background of a police employee, with the rank of lieutenant colonel, who committed suicide using a functional weapon.
A report from the State Security of Marrakech indicates that, according to the inspections and investigations carried out on site, the body of the policeman was found inside the clothing exchange warehouse of the gendarmerie, after he fired a bullet with his functional pistol, which caused his immediate death.
The same report adds that preliminary data from the investigation indicate that the deceased did not show any unusual behavior recently, and that he took up his duties this Thursday morning as part of a regular security patrol, before going to his workplace in order to drop off the police pistol after the end of his work period, but he ended his life in unknown circumstances, the circumstances of which are currently being investigated and determined.
