More than 15,000 families in the Oriental region are benefiting from the "Facing the Severe Cold" operation, supervised by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, in implementation of the high royal instructions aimed at providing assistance to the population affected by the sharp drop in temperatures.
Today, Sunday, in the presence of representatives of the local authorities, the Foundation began distributing rations of basic food items, as a first installment, for the benefit of 1,000 families from 41 douars in two territorial communities belonging to the prefecture of Oujda – Angad, in addition to 1,250 families in 9 douars in two communities in the province of Jerada. This humanitarian operation will continue, starting tomorrow, Monday, to include families residing in areas affected by weather fluctuations in the provinces of Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, and Berkane.
