Moroccan Sofiane El Bakkali, Olympic and world champion, qualified today, Monday, for the 3,000-meter steeplechase final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Al-Baqali’s qualification came after he dominated the first round of the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8:17.90, qualifying for the final, which will take place the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at 8:43 p.m.
It is worth noting that Sofiane El Bakkali is considered the first candidate to win the gold medal in the 3000 meters steeplechase at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
