Mohammed V International Airport Security Arrests Internationally Wanted German Fraudster

The day before yesterday, Sunday March 17, National Security agents at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested a 40-year-old German citizen, who is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Austrian judicial authorities. , with a view to carrying out a sentence imposed after his conviction in cases related to fraud and theft.

A security source said the suspected foreigner was arrested as he was preparing to board a flight to one of Turkey’s airports. The registration process in the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) indicated that he was wanted under a red notice issued at the request of the Austrian judicial authorities, suspected of being involved in financial transactions and fraudulent operations leading to the seizure of sums of money.

The suspect was kept in theoretical custody pending the extradition procedure in parallel with the notification of this arrest to the Austrian authorities, in order to send the extradition file.
