French media reports indicated on Thursday that the Paris police detained French MEP Rima Hassan for investigation regarding a post on the "X" platform.
The newspaper "Le Parisien" said that the police found quantities of drugs inside a bag she was carrying, following her arrest and detention by the police on charges of "praising terrorism." According to the same sources, the detention of the friend of the Algerian regime and supporter of the separatist thesis came after she was summoned as part of an investigation opened after she published a tweet on March 26, before deleting it later. The police finding drugs in the possession of the person in question sparked widespread controversy among social media activists who linked her drug use to her strange stances and statements on every occasion. Activists considered that Rima Hassan's support for the thesis of the mercenary gang and highway robbers, and her repetition of the narrative of the Kbaranat regime, cannot come from a person in their right mind, wondering if the person in question was taking drugs before publishing her posts and tweets that praised the eastern neighbor and attacked the Kingdom of Morocco.
