The controversy surrounding Imane Khelif: boy or girl?

Caught off guard by the controversy surrounding “his daughter” Imane Omar Khelif, her father, does not beat around the bush in trying to clarify the mystery that his “daughter” has created, the “famous” boxer who is currently representing Algeria at the Paris 2024 Olympics and who has caused an outcry by her appearance among her female opponents who have contested her gender.

Father Omar wants to show the world proof that Imane is indeed a “girl” by presenting a photo of his “daughter” at the age of 7 or 8, with braided hair and all smiles, as well as a whole series of identity documents and birth certificates:

“My child is a girl. She was raised as a girl. She is a strong girl. I raised her to work and be brave.”
