HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Fatima Zahra Al-Mansouri, the national coordinator for the collective leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), affirmed that discussing political alliances before the results of the upcoming elections are announced remains premature. She clarified that the party will not decide its direction on this matter until after the results are announced and based on what the National Council decides.
Al-Mansouri explained that PAM, should it top the election results, gain the trust of voters, and be tasked with forming the government, will open channels of dialogue with various political parties, provided that "convergence in projects" is the basis upon which any potential alliances will be built. In this context, Al-Mansouri stated, "We can say we have no red lines, but we have red issues," emphasizing that any political alliance will not be at the expense of the values and principles upon which the party was founded. Regarding the party leading the next government, Al-Mansouri confirmed that this ambition remains linked to constitutional and democratic rules, highlighting that the first word belongs to the citizens through the ballot boxes, while the appointment of the Head of Government remains within the constitutional prerogatives of King Mohammed VI.
