With the names of several candidates for the upcoming legislative elections in the North Fez constituency becoming clear, the contours of electoral competition are beginning to take shape more distinctly. All eyes are now on the names that will enter the race, and the experience and public presence they have accumulated during the legislative term that is nearing its end.
The map of contenders includes names with political and organizational weight and presence, who have accumulated prior experience in the local scene. This contrasts with other names that are sparking debate among segments of the local public opinion. Some observers believe that their previous experience no longer enjoys the same acceptance among a segment of the North Fez population, and that the upcoming phase might be an opportunity to open the door to new faces.
Between those who believe that the criterion of merit should be linked to what has actually been delivered to the population during the previous term, and those who believe that the stage requires new blood and names that are more present and closer to the citizens, it appears that popular acceptance and field achievements will be among the most prominent elements of competition during these elections.

A parliamentarian whose services the population no longer desires, far removed from communicating with the population's concerns, cannot have their electoral directions decided except through the ballot boxes, as they are the mechanism that gives the final say to the voters.
As the date of the elections approaches, the biggest challenge for all candidates will be to present a clear record of achievements and implementable programs, and to be able to convince the population of North Fez that they are the most capable of representing their aspirations and defending their interests during the upcoming term.
