US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the United States is retaining large quantities of ammunition for itself instead of selling them to others, indicating that his country is currently producing ammunition at unprecedented levels and possesses "huge" stockpiles far exceeding what could be used in a war with Iran.
Trump added in a post on the "Truth Social" platform that some are refusing to provide accurate reports on the US military operation against Iran, considering that some reports do not reflect the reality of what happened.
Regarding Ukraine, Trump said that former US President Joe Biden provided Kyiv with quantities of ammunition for free that far exceed what the United States used in the war with Iran, adding that Europe will pay for the ammunition that Washington provided to Ukraine.
The US President also affirmed that ammunition sales to allies will resume soon, pointing out that the United States is prepared for any emergency thanks to the significant increase in ammunition production and its military reserves.
Trump wrote in his post on the "Truth Social" platform: "To the traitors who refuse to provide accurate reports on our military operation in Iran, we have huge quantities of medium and high-quality ammunition, far exceeding what we can use in this war, or in any other war (which is highly unlikely!) that may erupt. In addition, we are producing ammunition at unprecedented levels. We are storing it and preparing for any emergency. We are keeping it for ourselves, the United States of America, instead of selling it to others, but sales to allies will resume soon. We would also like to inform you that the Biden administration has provided Ukraine with quantities of ammunition, completely free of charge, far exceeding what we used in Iran. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been given to Ukraine and NATO for free, money that Europe should have paid if it had been asked to do so, but we will demand this money, even if it is a little late!"
