Residents of the Maâmoura neighborhood in New Salé face daily hardships due to the absence of any bank branch or automatic cash withdrawal booths, despite the significant population density and continuous urban expansion in the area.
A number of neighborhood residents find themselves compelled to travel long distances to benefit from the simplest banking services, primarily cash withdrawals, or to conduct transfers and other transactions, given the lack of banking infrastructure in the area to meet the residents' needs.
According to several residents, this situation forces them to go to other areas, including the city of New Salé or the Ouled Moussa Village neighborhood, to conduct their banking business. This exacerbates their suffering, especially for the elderly and those who require banking services frequently.
The residents of the Maâmoura neighborhood are raising this issue at a time when banking services, especially automatic booths, have become essential facilities dictated by the demands of daily life, in addition to their role in facilitating financial transactions and bringing services closer to citizens.
Faced with this situation, the neighborhood residents are calling on the relevant authorities and banking institutions to intervene to provide at least one automatic booth or establish a bank branch in the area, in line with the neighborhood's population density and to contribute to bringing essential services closer to the citizens.
