HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
Preparations for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year are ongoing in the Al Hoceima province, through a series of coordination meetings and measures aimed at supporting educational institutions and ensuring the launch of studies in conducive conditions, with a focus on monitoring school attendance, reducing wastage and dropout, and strengthening coordination among the various stakeholders in the educational system.
In this context, Badreddine Bouchama, the Provincial Director of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Al Hoceima, held a communication meeting on Wednesday, September 4, 2026, with educational guidance staff, in the presence of the heads of departments within the directorate. The meeting was dedicated to identifying operational priorities related to the school year and enhancing coordination among the various stakeholders.
The meeting provided an opportunity to emphasize the importance of prior preparation and field support during the launch phase of studies, alongside intensifying monitoring mechanisms and identifying constraints that educational institutions and students may face, and working to address them in coordination with the relevant departments and staff.
The importance of monitoring school attendance and tracking absences was also stressed, along with strengthening the roles of vigilance cells in combating school dropout. Special attention was also given to students facing academic difficulties and at risk of dropping out, with efforts to find appropriate solutions to ensure their continued education and consolidate the principles of equity and equal opportunities.
The meeting's discussions also included the continuation of the "Pioneer Institutions and Preparatory Schools" project, through supporting accompaniment, support, and school life activities, and strengthening support for educational institutions facing challenges related to the start of the academic year.
In the same context, the importance of educational guidance services in supporting learners and helping them choose study and training paths that suit their abilities and inclinations was emphasized, contributing to supporting their academic journey.
As part of the preparations for the new school year, the Al Hoceima Provincial Directorate has developed a program of field visits that provincial committees will commence on September 7, 2026. The aim is to monitor the actual start of studies, assess the conditions for student reception in educational institutions, identify constraints, and intervene to address them in a timely manner.
These measures are part of the mobilization undertaken by the provincial directorate in preparation for the new academic year, by combining internal coordination, communication meetings, and field support, aiming to ensure an organized and stable start to studies in the Al Hoceima province.
