The southern entrance to the El-Aksas municipality witnessed a serious traffic accident this Sunday morning, September 6th, following the rollover of a passenger bus that was en route from Tan-Tan to Safi, causing a state of alert at the accident site.
According to initial information, the accident resulted in the death of a person who was on the road at the moment of the rollover and was not among the bus passengers, while 17 people sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported to health institutions to receive necessary first aid and treatment.
Upon being informed of the incident, Royal Gendarmerie elements, Civil Protection, and local authorities rushed to the scene, where they worked to secure the accident surroundings and organize intervention and rescue operations, concurrently with the opening of an investigation to determine the precise causes and circumstances that led to the bus rollover.
The initial toll is still subject to change, pending what official data from the competent authorities will reveal.
