HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
A mural dedicated to commemorating the late El Hajj Youari, associated with Raja Club Athletic, has been defaced after individuals painted over parts of it, according to circulating information.
The mural was dedicated to the memory of Youari, whose name was linked for years to Raja Club Athletic, as he was present alongside the team, players, and fans. His name was also associated with serving the club, accompanying its players, and supporting emerging generations.
The incident sparked outrage among Raja supporters, especially since the mural bears the late El Hajj Youari's image and is part of initiatives to commemorate figures linked to the club's history and memory.
According to circulating information, the individuals who defaced the mural are not connected to its surroundings, while the identities of those involved or their motives have not been officially clarified.
The name of the late El Hajj Youari is also linked to a family present in Moroccan football, through his son, the Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi, and former Raja Club Athletic player El Houssine Rahimi.
