The city of Salé is preparing to open its doors to the pioneers of the seventh art, ready to host the events of the 19th edition of the International Women's Film Festival, scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 3, 2026, an initiative by the Abi Regrag Association and under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
This prestigious cinematic gathering, which set sail in the world of creativity since its establishment in 2004, continues to solidify its position as an exceptional annual event that celebrates women's visions and creations behind and in front of the camera, forming an international platform that reshapes the presence of women in the global cinematic landscape.
This edition aims to strengthen communication bridges between various female experiences across the globe, through a visual and intellectual blend distributed between film screenings and discussion forums that delve into the depths of women's issues and their aesthetic and social representations. This event also provides a space for dialogue that brings together female directors with professionals, critics, and cinema enthusiasts to exchange ideas and experiences, thereby reinforcing Salé as a cultural capital and a vibrant cinematic destination.
The new edition is expected to feature a rich program that keeps pace with the rapid transformations in the film industry and raises questions about the present and future regarding women's position in this sector, in an extension that renews the brilliance of the festival's message, which has steadfastly carried its torch for over two decades.
