A significant financial subsidy for the players of the Moroccan Olympic team

The Moroccan Olympic football team won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, after winning the classification match against its Egyptian counterpart by 6 goals to 0, Thursday, August 8, 2024.

In exchange for this historic feat, the players of the Moroccan Olympic team should receive a significant and exceptional financial grant from the National Olympic Committee and the Royal Moroccan Football University.

The Moroccan National Olympic Committee, through its official website, has revealed the list of scholarships that will be awarded to athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Games, based on the results obtained.

According to the allocation criteria assigned by the Moroccan Olympic Committee, the football team is classified as a team composed of more than five individuals, and will receive a grant of 400 thousand dirhams (40 million centimes) for each player in the team.

It should be noted that the national team is composed of 18 players, which means that the Moroccan Olympic Committee will allocate them a budget of 7 million 200 thousand dirhams (720 million centimes).

In addition to the scholarship from the National Olympic Committee, the Royal Moroccan Football League has decided to award an exceptional scholarship to players of the Moroccan national team under 23, after their first podium finish at the Olympic Games.

The Moroccan Under-23 team achieved a historic feat at the Paris Olympics, placing third in the football competition and winning the bronze medal as the first Arab team to achieve this feat at a major international sporting event.
