HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
A huge and sudden fire broke out shortly before noon today, Tuesday, inside a warehouse designated for storing wood in the Sidi Ghanem industrial zone in the Menara district, causing a state of maximum alert among the various local authorities and civil defense elements who rushed to the scene of the incident to contain the flames and prevent their spread.
According to the newspaper's sources, the flammable nature of the wood materials significantly contributed to the rapid and massive spread of the flames that consumed the warehouse's contents. At the same time, thick black clouds of rising smoke covered the sky of the area, visible to residents from afar, causing panic and apprehension for fear of the fire spreading to adjacent fields and facilities. Three firefighting trucks and the necessary human and logistical efforts were mobilized and sent to surround the burning areas and prevent them from spreading to the neighboring region, under close field supervision by representatives of the local authority.
