The case of the security officer prosecuted in connection with the incident of assaulting a woman accompanied by him in Inzgan has seen new developments. The Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Inzgan decided to release him on bail after the end of the period of police custody and the completion of the procedures for his interrogation and that of the woman concerned in the incident.
In parallel with the judicial proceedings, the officer was suspended from work pending the completion of administrative procedures. His file was also referred to the competent disciplinary council affiliated with the General Directorate of National Security to take the necessary action in light of the investigation results and the data that will be collected.
The case dates back to an incident, part of which was documented by surveillance cameras, before a clip of the recording spread widely on social media, sparking significant interaction, especially since the footage documents the moment of physical assault on his companion.
The judicial investigation will reveal the full circumstances of the incident, including its conditions, motives, and preceding events, at a time when determining responsibilities and facts definitively remains within the jurisdiction of the competent judicial authorities.
– A young officer with a professional career under review
The officer at the center of the case is a young man from the Doukkala region. He graduated from the Police Training Institute in Kenitra with the rank of security officer, before joining the regional security directorate in Inzgan Aït Melloul, where he worked for several years.
He was performing his security duties normally before finding himself at the heart of this case, which took on wide dimensions after the spread of the video recording. The incident is now the subject of two parallel tracks: the first is judicial, relating to the act under prosecution, and the second is disciplinary, related to the professional aspect.
The officer, a single young man, had been a regular presence in nightclubs in the last two years, often accompanied by a prostitute. This situation continued until his assault on his companion was documented, after she refused to accompany him to his apartment. He then continued to assault her before asking her to let him accompany her to her door.
However, in the absence of final investigation results, the various circulating accounts and interpretations regarding the background of the incident remain unresolved data until the investigations are concluded and the facts and responsibilities are officially determined.

Just as the incident has attracted widespread interest due to the content of the video recording, the way the video reached social media and its circulation also raises a number of questions that may find their answers within the course of the investigation.
Among these questions are: Who documented the recording? How was it obtained, copied, and circulated? Was it published spontaneously, or are there other data or circumstances behind its circulation?
At this stage, it is not possible to definitively assert any background or hypotheses related to the leak of the recording, nor can any party be held responsible for it without official data proving it.
Therefore, these questions remain open until the investigation results emerge, both regarding the original incident and the circumstances of the recording's circulation, which will allow for a complete picture of the case to be formed, away from premature conclusions or undocumented narratives.
In the meantime, the judiciary remains the competent authority in determining legal responsibilities, while the disciplinary procedure will address any professional repercussions of the incident, according to what the investigations and official results will reveal.
