HIBAPRESS reported that the local authorities in the province of Fahs Anjra stated that a fire broke out on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the TAC 1 industrial zone in the Guemassa commune. The fire engulfed a factory specializing in the manufacture of car filters before spreading to two neighboring factories due to strong winds.
Immediately after the fire broke out, local and security authorities, along with civil defense elements, intervened, supported by various intervention mechanisms, to extinguish the flames and limit their spread. In this context, all workers and employees in neighboring factories and plants were evacuated, with no human casualties recorded. Various firefighting teams continue, given the weather conditions and wind speed, their efforts to extinguish the fire and contain the situation.
