The Gueliz neighborhood witnessed two consecutive thefts this Friday morning, targeting two foreign tourists. The first occurred near the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, while the second operation was carried out on Mohammed V Avenue by two individuals on a Chinese-made motorcycle.
According to the newspaper's sources, the first theft involved the snatching of the foreign tourist's handbag, which contained her personal documents, mobile phone, and a sum of money. In the second incident, a mobile phone was snatched, causing the victim to fall and sustain injuries that required her transfer to the hospital for treatment.
Elements of the police in the first security district of Gueliz are still conducting a search and reviewing surveillance cameras installed in the public street to identify the perpetrators of the thefts against foreign tourists in the Gueliz neighborhood.
