HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
Mohamed Al-Hamouti, the list agent for the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the Al Hoceima province, issued a clarifying statement regarding some of the content associated with the election campaign, in response to what he described as "confusion that may result from misjudgment."
Al-Hamouti affirmed, in the statement, his commitment to respecting the laws and regulations governing the electoral process, emphasizing that political competition should take place within a framework of responsibility and mutual respect, away from any practices that would undermine the integrity of the electoral entitlement or illegally influence the will of the voters.
The statement clarified that any image, publication, comment, or digital content that includes an explicit call to vote for the Authenticity and Modernity Party or for its list agent, and is circulated outside the approved legal and regulatory framework for the election campaign, does not represent in any way the position of the party or the candidate Mohamed Al-Hamouti, nor does it express their official orientations.
In the same context, Al-Hamouti called on the party's activists, sympathizers, and all followers to exercise vigilance and a sense of responsibility, and to verify the source of any content before publishing or re-circulating it, to avoid any ambiguity or interpretation that might deviate from the organized framework of the election campaign.
He also stressed the importance of referring to the party's and the candidate's official platforms and channels as the approved source for information, positions, and statements related to the election campaign.
This clarification comes in light of the legislative elections, and in the context of emphasizing the importance of respecting the rules of electoral competition, and adhering to legal and regulatory provisions, so as to contribute to ensuring a sound and responsible electoral atmosphere in Al Hoceima province.
