HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
A fire broke out on Sunday evening, September 13, 2026, in one of the Argan forests in the Bouanemane commune, affiliated with the Tiznit province. Elements from the provincial command of civil protection and local authorities intervened, with the participation of a number of local residents, to control and extinguish the flames.
The flames consumed an area estimated at about one and a half hectares, before the intervention teams were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the forest cover. Civil protection elements are expected to continue their vigil at the site, in anticipation of the possibility of renewed fires, until it is definitively confirmed that all hotspots have been extinguished and any risk of re-ignition is minimized.
