Sidi Bibi region, on the outskirts of Agadir, witnessed a state of alert on Tuesday evening after a fire, described as enormous, broke out near a gas station, raising fears of the flames spreading to the facility and the potential dangers that could result.
Upon being notified of the incident, civil defense elements and local authorities rushed to the scene of the fire, where efforts were made to contain the flames and intervene to control them, concurrently with the necessary precautionary measures being taken given the sensitivity of the incident's location and its proximity to a gas storage or distribution facility.
The fire caused concern among the residents of the region, while investigations initiated by the competent authorities are expected to reveal the causes of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the incident, along with verifying the extent of the damages and losses recorded.
