The strengthening of cooperation between economic actors and businessmen from Morocco and their Mauritanian counterparts was the focus of discussions held by the Ambassador of Morocco to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Hamid Chebar, yesterday, Wednesday, in Nouakchott, with the President of the National Confederation of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zein El Abidine Ould Sheikh Ahmed.
During this meeting, mechanisms were reviewed to develop economic cooperation, expand its scope, and embody it in projects that serve the common interests of the two countries and benefit the two brotherly peoples.
In this context, both sides also discussed Mauritania's participation as a guest of honor in the 14th edition of the International Exhibition of Production Technologies, Mechanical, Metallurgical, and Electromechanical Industries, which was held in Casablanca from September 9th to 12th.
They also commended the organization of the "Morocco-Mauritania Special Day," as part of the exhibition's activities, in which a delegation from the Mauritanian Employers' Confederation participated. This was an endeavor to give new momentum to joint economic and industrial relations and to enhance industrial integration between the two countries, with a focus on the joint construction of industrial, mining, and energy value chains.
