Official mascot of FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ revealed

With the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ just around the corner, the tournament’s official mascot, the XON™ Tiger, has been unveiled
The tiger embodies the spirit, speed and excitement of the game, while reflecting the local and regional heritage of the host country. The charismatic tiger symbolises the essence of futsal and is a reminder that the stadiums and tournament will be a destination for people from all walks of life.
The tiger was chosen for its ability to be stealthy, to appear suddenly and disappear without a trace with speed and agility, just like the best futsal players who take advantage of every opportunity to attack, defend and create chances.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ will make history as the first FIFA Futsal World Cup in Central Asia, as part of FIFA’s commitment to making the game truly global. The tournament, which will take place from 14 September to 6 October, will feature the world’s best teams and players from 24 countries representing all six continental confederations.
For the first time in the tournament’s history, Uzbekistan 2024™ will see four teams from the Central Asian Football Confederation (CAFC) – Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan – join the host nation in a tournament themed ‘Masters of Speed’. This will be the first time that Afghanistan and Tajikistan will take part in the tournament, as will France and New Zealand.
Futsal is an increasingly popular sport and one of the fastest growing in the world. It is played by millions of people across the world, from all classes and communities.
The champion team will be crowned in Tashkent on October 6. In addition to the capital, Andijan and Bukhara will host the tournament. The full match schedule is available here.
