HIBAPRESS – Al Hoceima
Mohamed Laaraj, the candidate for the Popular Movement Party in the Al Hoceima constituency, chose to conclude his electoral tour in the Ketama region, in one of the most prominent stops of his campaign that extended over the past few days to a number of municipalities and mountainous areas in the province, amidst a remarkable presence and interaction from the sons of the region.
This stop comes in the final hours preceding the September 23rd vote, after intensive field tours that included Ketama, Issaaken, Beni Bounsar, Targist, and other areas.
The Ketama stop provided a new opportunity for Laaraj to meet citizens and local figures, and to listen to their expectations and concerns, in a scene reflecting his choice of field presence and direct communication as one of the most prominent themes of his electoral campaign.
Laaraj enjoys a well-known political and popular presence in several regions of the Rif, especially in the mountainous areas of Al Hoceima province. Over the years, he has accumulated parliamentary, governmental, and academic experience that has made his name present in discussions related to the region's issues. Ketama, Ikawan, and Issaaken have also been essential stops in his political and communication journey, which was evident again during the current campaign through the successive meetings he held with the residents.
The Ketama stop was not isolated from the general course of the campaign. Laaraj had previously received remarkable welcomes and interactions in a number of municipalities, including Abd Al-Ghayya Al-Sawahil, Temsamou, and Issaaken, in addition to other stops in the Ketama and Targist constituencies.
These meetings highlight the reliance of his campaign on being present among citizens, rather than limiting itself to central meetings, with a focus on directly listening to local issues and development expectations.
Laaraj also bases his electoral communication on his academic, legal, and political experience as a professor, law researcher, former minister, and former parliamentarian. These elements are utilized in presenting his vision regarding institutional work and advocating for issues that concern the province, especially the mountainous areas suffering from challenges related to infrastructure, public services, breaking isolation, and local development.
Ketama holds particular importance in the electoral landscape of Al Hoceima province, given its geographical expanse, rural composition, and numerous municipalities, which makes the presence of candidates there an essential stop within the electoral campaign.
In this context, Laaraj's return to the region at the end of his campaign confirms his continued reliance on direct communication with the residents and on the asset of political and social relationships he has accumulated over years of presence in the province.
Between receiving citizens, field meetings, and moving between municipalities, Mohamed Laaraj concluded his electoral campaign in the mountains of Ketama, in a stop that carried a symbolic character for the Popular Movement candidate, who made proximity to citizens and listening to their concerns a central focus in his recent tours, before the electoral competition moves to the voting stage on September 23rd, where the final word will be with the voters through the ballot boxes.
