HIBAPRESS – Assa-Zag
The Assa-Zag constituency recorded, on Wednesday, a turnout exceeding 60 percent of the total registered voters, shortly before the closure of polling stations for the legislative elections.
This percentage reflects a remarkable turnout at the polling stations in the region, as voters continue to flock to various centers to cast their ballots, as the electoral process nears its end.
Assa-Zag, like a number of electoral constituencies, witnessed an electoral atmosphere characterized by competition among various lists and candidates, amidst security and organizational follow-up to ensure the normal conduct of the voting process.
After the closure of polling stations, the counting and tallying of votes are expected to commence, before the announcement of results in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
