A number of Istiqlal Party supporters took to the streets in the Sidi Hajjaj Wad Hisar commune, in the Mediouna province, on Wednesday evening, celebrating the provisional results which showed, according to special information, the party's candidate leading in a number of polling stations.
The area witnessed celebratory scenes, as party supporters gathered to express their joy over the initial results, amidst chanting slogans and cheers celebrating what they considered a lead for their candidate in the ongoing counting process.
These scenes come at a time when the vote counting and tallying process has not yet been completed in the various polling stations of the constituency, while candidates' representatives continue to follow the results and compile the minutes from the polling stations.
The results circulating at this stage remain provisional and not final, pending the completion of the counting, the compilation of all minutes, and the announcement of the official results by the competent authorities.
