HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Following the Justice and Development Party topping the legislative election results, attention is turning to the next stage to identify the personality who will head the new government, pending the expected royal appointment.
Article 47 of the Constitution stipulates that the King appoints the head of government from the political party that topped the elections for members of the House of Representatives, based on their results.
Within the "PAM," prominent names emerge that could enter the discussion circle about leading the next governmental phase, including Fouzi Lekjaa, alongside Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, whose appointment, if it materializes, could be a notable milestone as the first woman to head the Moroccan government, in addition to Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, one of the prominent figures within the party, who has accumulated governmental and political presence in recent years.
Between these names and other personalities who may enter the consultation circle, the final answer remains linked to the royal decision and the political path that will follow the announcement of the official results. The question that will remain posed in the coming days is: who from PAM will steer the ship of the new government?
