The Souleimania area, in the direction of Mdaagh commune in the province of Berkane, witnessed a traffic accident this Thursday evening, September 24th, when a light vehicle veered off its course and fell into the main canal of the Moulouya river.
According to informed sources, the accident resulted in injuries described as "varying in severity" to two individuals who were on board the vehicle.
Upon being notified of the incident, Civil Protection elements rushed to the scene. They provided first aid to the injured and quickly transported them via ambulance to the Drad regional hospital in the city of Berkane to receive necessary treatment.
Royal Gendarmerie elements also proceeded to the accident site to inspect it and secure traffic flow, in parallel with the opening of a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to uncover the circumstances and details surrounding the incident and determine responsibilities.
