HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
Security services arrested 10 individuals on suspicion of spreading false information and digital content inciting mass and irregular entry operations into the occupied cities of Ceuta and Melilla, according to the Spanish news agency "Efe," citing an official source.
According to the same source, authorities detected publications and digital content suspected of having previously paved the way for attempts to storm the border fences of the occupied enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla, and it also included calls for users of social networks and messaging applications to participate in mass irregular migration operations.
These arrests come at a time when Moroccan and Spanish authorities have strengthened security measures on the borders of the two cities, following the circulation of calls on social media to carry out mass crossings coinciding with the elections held in Morocco on Wednesday.
