The city of Guelmim witnessed, yesterday Friday, the funeral of the child Mbaraka Al-Atrash, aged four, who passed away due to serious injuries she sustained after falling into a pit near a fountain next to the regional hospital in Guelmim.
According to her family's information, the child was exposed to the accident days ago, which caused her severe injuries that put her in a coma for about a week, before she passed away due to her wounds. The incident left her family and residents of the area in a state of grief and resentment.
Following the funeral of the child's body, members of her family protested in front of the Guelmim commune, condemning what they considered negligence in securing the site where the incident occurred, demanding an investigation to reveal the circumstances of what happened and to determine the legal responsibilities regarding the presence of the pit in that location.
The family of the deceased demands the disclosure of the truth of the accident's circumstances and the assignment of responsibilities, emphasizing that their goal is to understand the circumstances of their daughter's death and to avoid the recurrence of such incidents.
